Multinationals in Pudong gear up for 8th CIIE
With the countdown to the 8th China International Import Expo underway, multinational corporations based in Shanghai's Pudong New Area are unveiling their exhibition plans and debut products for this year's event.
In recent years, many global enterprises have deepened their presence in Pudong, establishing innovation centers and increasing investment, signaling a shift toward serving global markets through localized innovation in China.
Henkel, for example, inaugurated the Inspiration Center Shanghai for Adhesive Technologies last September. The facility enhances collaboration with customers and accelerates sustainable, locally driven innovation.
At this year's CIIE, Henkel will showcase its cutting-edge products and technologies in a 150-square-meter booth within the Intelligent Industry and Information Technology exhibition area.
Louis Dreyfus will make three global debuts of animal nutrition products developed at its Shanghai R&D Center, along with the first showing of instant coffee powder from its Brazilian Cacique factory.
Nippon Paint, which is building its R&D center for the Asia Pacific region in Pudong, returns to the expo for the second time, expanding both booth size and exhibition scope to highlight its new products and solutions.
Cosmetics giants Shiseido and L'Oréal, both headquartered in Pudong, also return as long-time participants. Shiseido, an exhibitor for seven consecutive years, will promote over 50 new products across skincare, fragrance, and other categories.
L'Oreal will unveil its largest-ever presentation of 25 brands, injecting new vitality into the global market with Chinese innovation and experience.
Chiesi Group, an Italian biopharmaceutical company, has opened its trading company in the Waigaoqiao bonded area. Making its debut at the expo, the group will showcase its latest achievements in respiratory and rare disease treatment, further expanding its footprint in China's healthcare sector.
"With nearly 20 years of presence in China, the group has recognized the importance of the Chinese market, which has become one of its key growth engines and strategic markets globally," said Giuseppe Accogli, CEO of Chiesi Group.
